L.G. Wise

THE BEGINNING

LG Wise’s upbringing was not unusual living in America. His mother was 14 years old when

she became pregnant, his father was absent, and they did not meet until 5 decades later.

 

LG Wise was mostly raised by his grandmother in North Carolina. However, part of his upbringing was in

Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, NY where, due to street life activity he became affiliated with the same drug family as

Christopher Wallace, The Notorious BIG.

 

DESTINY DETAINED

Due to poor choices and lack of guidance, LG Wise ended up incarcerated in Rikers Island, Cell Gate C74 Mod 6.

It was in this predicament, where LG Wise had a life changing encounter with Jesus Christ, which ultimately resulted

in him doing only a fraction of the prison time he was facing.

 

Wise was offered a Boot Camp program and was released early. He went to Miami, Florida where he got married and

immediately started attending church, faithfully.

 

THE DREAM

After a life-changing dream in 1994 that LG encountered, he realized the dream held a divine message from God to

start communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ through rap.  It was here that LG Wise found purpose to his life!

 

CAREER

LG Wise became one of the pioneers as it relates to CHH (Christian Hip Hop), becoming one of the most sought out

artist that released over five albums in a time where there was no social media.

 

MINISTRY

Wise traveled for years on the largest Christian youth tours and festivals across the USA, which consisted of concerts and speaking in all of the major arenas in America. LG has had Christian Hip Hop Music Awards and Independent Christian Country Film Music Awards, chart topping number one albums as well as a number one Independent Christian film entitled “Segregated Sunday”.

 

GLOBAL MINISTRY

In 2010 LG Wise began to travel globally doing crusades with one of the largest Deliverance and Healing ministers in the world. Hundreds of thousands of people would pack the sports stadiums at these crusades in places like Colombia, Mexico, Peru Paraguay, South Korea, England, France, Curaçao, Canada, Bahamas, Belize, Africa, Spain, Nazareth and more.  It is here where LG Wise ministered through rap worship to innumerable thousands as well as millions globally.

CHARITY

LG Wise has consistently, for 20 years, served by providing youth feeding and clothing programs in communities across America for underprivileged youth which also consist of detention centers and rehab facilities.  Wise has also provided groceries for the elderly and disabled adults in low income neighborhoods with the heart of fulfilling Jesus’ command in Mathew 25:35-40, “for I was hungry and you gave me meat: I was thirsty, and you gave me drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in: naked, and you clothed me: I was sick, and you helped me: I was in prison, and you visited me.”  LG Wise is particularly excited with the feeding program whereby he feeds and clothes over 100 youth in the country of Burundi on a monthly basis.

 

MISSION

And now with a wealth of experience and global perspective in ministry, LG Wise personally has a spiritual treasure vault of knowledge surrounding the Great Commission, spiritual warfare and being the church in America.
